Man City are unwilling to let Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho leave the club on any transfer deal that does not involve the possibility of a buy-back in the future.

The 20-year-old inches closer to a move to West Ham and is being reported the player would cost the Hammers around 20million. The Hammers however would only agree to the clause if it would be double the amount the club forks out for the player.

Kelechi has garnered new interests with Everton, PSG, and Dortmund interested in the player but according to Colin Udoh of ESPN, the player's representatives have confirmed Iheanacho's desire to remain in England.

For a move away from Etihad, Iheanacho, who is currently in camp with Super Eagles, stresses the fact he remains a City player.

“I’m not very aware of that (on a proposed move to West Ham), the player told reporters.

“I just keep working with the team and I’m still at Manchester City so I’ll meet up with the boys and kick off the season with Manchester City.

“I’m happy to stay at Manchester City and keep fighting to help them achieve what they want to achieve. Manchester City is a big team and we need to go far as a squad, so we need everybody.”
